In Larger Footsteps

A long time ago... though not quite in the age of dinosaurs, hand drawn animation was invented.  Over centuries, it came to "full expression", certainly with Disney animation, and decisively with Snow White; to this day, despite so much that has followed, still the gold-standard for hand drawn animation.

But it was Walt Disney's third full length animated picture, following both Snow White and Pinocchio, which may have been his most ambitious and most visionary.  Fantasia in a particular passage, animated something quite different from a fairy tale...  Igor Stravinsky's "Rite Of Spring" was represented as a "Pagaent of Life", beginning with the earth's formation, passing through the primordial soup, and eventually culminating in the reign of dinosaurs...  Fantasia provided a singular experience; perhaps for the first time, a mass audience had been asked to consider a challenging scientific subject through animation, and as a form of entertainment.

iAllosaur ^® has drawn inspiration from both Disney and Fantasia, along very specific lines of thinking... Walt Disney recognized the potential of the new media of film animation both to entertain and to educate.  He also was a big believer in the artistry of hand-drawn animation - that it could be rich and beautiful, and leverage the fullest capabilities of classical artistic training.  Likewise, we at idvance LLC ^® recognize the potential of the new media of "interactive animation" - ushered in by Apple's iPhone ^TM, iPad ^TM and iPod ^® Touch computing platforms - to educate as well as to entertain...  We see the iPhone family of smart devices as a new platform for many forms of figurative art, hand drawn illustration and animation very much included...  As a company, we aim to contribute what we can...
